Chris Pollock - or ‘Polly’ - is a man of many talents. A full time professional referee, ex halfback and teacher, Pollock is also a regular on The Crowd Goes Wild, after being famously tackled by Sean Maitland during a game.
“With this year’s new pink uniforms, I’m hoping there’ll be no chance of any more hit and runs,” says Pollock.

The Investec Super Rugby competition kicked off this year with a new rugby team out of South Africa – as well as a group of fresh new up-and-coming referees who will make their debuts in 2013. New Zealand’s newest referee to join the Super Rugby ranks is Briant from the Bay of Plenty.

2013 SUPER RUGBY REFEREE APPOINTMENTS FOR ROUND ONE TO FOUR

SANZAR has announced the referee appointments for the first four rounds of the 2013 Super Rugby season, which kicks off with the Rebels hosting the Force on Friday 15 February.
The eighteenth season of Super Rugby will feature only Australian Conference teams in its opening round, with the match at AAMI Park in Melbourne joined by the Brumbies hosting the Reds at Canberra Stadium on Saturday 16 February.

SANZAR ANNOUNCES REFEREE TEAM FOR SUPER RUGBY 2013

SANZAR today announced an 18-man strong referee team for the 2013 Super Rugby competition.
The announcement includes five new referees to the Super Rugby circuit, including Argentinean Francisco Pastrana (who controlled his first Super Rugby match in 2012).
The team includes the Southern Hemisphere's top performers, with Craig Joubert, Steve Walsh and Chris Pollock (returning from injury) heading up a strong team.
